Clouds can hide the volcano completely, and volcanic or severe-weather advisories can affect access. The ruins themselves deserve attention even when the mountain does not appear.

Getting there

From Malama, travel toward Ligao City and follow the Maharlika Highway east through Guinobatan and Camalig toward Daraga. The final local road leads into Cagsawa Ruins Park in Barangay Busay. Allow about 1 to 1.5 hours, with more time for traffic or stops along the provincial corridor.
